Non- Surgical Methods for Treating Chronic Back Pain

  • Injection-based treatments: Nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections and other types of injections can be used to treat chronic back pain. Injections can be used to treat chronic back pain especially if the cause of the pain is known. Injections are however suited for short-term relief from chronic pain and cannot be used for long-term treatment of back pain.

  • Alternative treatments: Alternative treatments like massage therapy, acupressure, laser therapy, electrical nerve stimulation etc. are alternative treatment methods that can be used for treating chronic back pain.
